Closure of Rio de Janeiro Avenue

Punta Gorda, FL – Rio de Janeiro Avenue--between Nuremberg Boulevard and Rampart Boulevard--will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m. for replacement of a road crossing pipe. Traffic will be detoured down Nuremberg Boulevard.

Work will also be conducted August 17 through 20, 2009, but with minimal traffic delays. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work area.
