Division Organization and Responsibilities:
Engineering Services Manager - Manages Engineering Services Department.
Administrative Assistants - Answer questions and provide administrative and clerical support.
Engineering Coordinators - Coordinate incoming projects, disperse all documentation/information relative to current projects, track status, and process signed agreements.
Project Managers (Outside Development) - Prepare utility agreement, initiate closing process, and coordinate with engineers and construction inspectors to supervise job/project progress.
Project Managers (In-House Development/Capital Improvement Projects) - Manage capital improvement projects related to County-owned buildings. Projects include new facilities and renovations or improvements to existing buildings. These CIP's are there to provide more than adequate service to the present and future customers of the County and to ensure that the environment is protected.
Project Engineers - Review and approve drawings for compliance with engineering and health standards for additions to our water distribution and sanitary sewer system as submitted by new customers and developers.
Engineering Technicians - Support staff in preliminary design reviews and supply field data for projects.
Design Technicians - Maintain as-built (schematic) maps of Utility System. Custodian of historical plans (record drawings), maintain the GIS (Geographic Information System) for the entire Utilities’ enterprise-wide GIS database in the Charlotte County Utilities facility’s digital infrastructure to include water, sanitary sewer, and reclaimed water. GIS maintains all as-built information, digital maps and all attribute information associated with Charlotte County Utilities facilities.
Construction Coordinators - Provide inspection services during construction for water/sewer/reclaimed water within developments, subdivisions and Capital Improvement Projects and ensure that the plans and specifications developed for the project are followed and are in compliance.
