Real Estate Services Division
The function of the Real Estate Services Division is to provide specialized Real Estate Services to the Public Works Division and other County Departments. Its principal duties include:
- Right-of-Way Acquisition is necessary for the County's capital improvement projects for new and widened roads, sidewalks, parks, and other facilities by purchase, voluntary sale, donations or eminent domain.
- Release and/or occupation of County easements processing follows receipt of applications by owner(s) of the underlying property.
- Inventory of all real property owned by Charlotte County
- Surplus County owned real property coordinates disposal of surplus County owned real property in compliance with Florida Statutes 125.35 or 125.38, and County policies.
- Lot Donation Program oversees the program whereby property owners may donate land to the County.
- Consulting Services provides assistance to other County departments in real property matters.
- Tax Deed Sales, Tax Certificate auctions compiles and disseminates information regarding Tax Deed Sales, Tax Certificate auctions, and Lands Available for Taxes to County departments.
