Charlotte-Glades Library System
Volunteers
The Charlotte-Glades Library System uses volunteers at all of its branch libraries. Becoming a library volunteer is a great way to:
- Meet New People
- Learn New Skills
- Find Interesting Books to Read
- Contribute to Your Library and Your Community
Volunteers assist with many different jobs including:
- Checking in materials
- Putting materials away and maintaining the shelves
- Checking materials out to patrons
- Assisting patrons in finding materials in the library
- Helping with clerical tasks such as typing and filing
- Assisting with children's programs
If you are willing to learn and able to commit to a regularly scheduled time, being a library volunteer may be just the new activity you've been looking for.
