Family Services Center - What is Family Support?
Family support is a way of thinking about what it takes to raise children in a society and how these choices will translate into positive actions. Family support involves nurturing and protecting children by nurturing and protecting the families who are responsible for these children’s care. This support also requires strengthening communities that are made up of these families. Family support provides parents and neighborhoods with the resources and support they need to succeed at the most important job there is: raising healthy, responsible, productive and happy children.
There are several Family Support programs offered on The Family Services Center Campus in Port Charlotte, including parenting classes, family literacy, self-sufficiency, and after-school programs.
