Corridor Study: Implementation: SR 776

VanesseDaylor was the hired consultant to work on this project. VanesseDaylor conducted site analysis, stakeholder interviews, land use and mapping analysis, community charrettes, surveys and questionnaires and design guideline reviews.

The final public workshop for the Corridor Study was held in May, 2003.

An important component of the final study was the creation of short, mid, and long term goals for the implementation of action items along the Corridor.

The final Corridor Study was presented to the Board of County Commissioners in July 2003.

The Board of County Commissioners requested a follow up presentation on the status of the Corridor Study and the action items it contained. This follow up was presented in October of 2003. The follow up discussion focused primarily on the creation of commercial nodes, a description and status of the existing commercial strip, and other issues and concerns addressed in the initial study (traffic, Myakka City Park, and Industrial development along CR 771.
